100_4197Lori-Ann Knowles and Evelyn Caruso have had a passion for sewing since childhood. Lori-Ann has been an avid quilter for over 20 years who has acquired a wealth of quilting knowledge and experience. She learned her quilting skills from nationally renowned Bethany Reynolds and has been sharing her knowledge ever since. Lori-Ann has participated in many workshops and retreats taught by very talented and well known quilters like Bethany Reynolds, Eleanor Burns and Carol Doak. Lori-Ann is a remarkably talented quilter who loves to share her knowledge and passion for quilting with others. Lori-Ann teaches many of our classes here at The Cotton Cupboard. Come by and take advantage of learning some new skills and techniques from one of the best quilters in the area!

Evelyn started sewing at the age of 12 and is a consummate seamstress who, for many years, sewed beautiful apparel. She became interested in quilting about 9 years ago and began attending workshops and retreats taught by some of the most renowned quilters like Bethany Reynolds, Eleanor Burns and Carol Doak. She has since become a skilled quilter who teaches classes and workshops right here at The Cotton Cupboard. Evelyn has an extensive background in many artistic endeavours, such as photography and advertising sales and brings a keen eye and enormous talent to the quilting community. Aside from her vast experience and talent, Evelyn is loads of fun! Stop by and sign up for one of her classes today.

Both Lori-Ann and Evelyn, sisters who are Bangor area natives, are thrilled to have their shop right here in their home town. With their convenient location, The Cotton Cupboard is the largest quilting shop in the region. They look forward to seeing you soon!

And remember… it’s all about fun!

So stop by, browse, chat, make friends, learn new skills and, of course, say hi to Gracie!

PatternsWe are pleased to be a drop off site for The Linus Project. The Linus Project, founded in 1995, is a volunteer organization that provides quilts, afghans & blankets, made by Linus Project “Blanketeers”, to children 0-18 who are seriously ill, or have suffered a traumatic experience. All blankets donated to the project must be new or home made, washable, free of pins and from smoke-free environments (due to allergies). Blankets can be dropped off at the shop where the Penobscot area Linus Project coordinator will pick them up. If you are interested in becoming a “Blanketeer”, please stop by the shop – we would be happy to tell you about this terrific program.
