Have you ever sewn on a Hand Crank, Treadle or non-electrical machine? Come and see what "all the fuss" is about.

If you have a Hand Crank, Treadle Machine Head or Older machine head, bring it along. If you don't own one, but are intrigued still come.

Annual membership is $10 and then $5.00 per meeting you attend. Cranky Pants will meet the 3rd Friday of each month.

This Block of the Month Quilt will be run a little differently, than others we have done. Each month we will discuss our reading in book by Jennifer Chiaverini’s book “The Giving Quilt”. We will work on that months block, as well. Each month several members will be assigned to bring refreshments.

Summer Beginner Quilting Course ( 8:30 am - 11:30 am )

Summer Beginner’s Quilting Course Starts Friday, June 28 @ 8:30

You will complete a 9 Square Sampler, while learning all of the basics of quilting. Great class for the self-taught, as a refresher or just to learn to quilt. Class Fee is $150.00 includes book and all handouts.. You will need fabric, quilting tools and a sewing machine.The course has 6 sessions.

This course will be on the following Fridays; June 28, July 5, 12, 19 8:30 - 11:30

BERNINA Owner's Basic Operations Class

This workshop and workbook is designed to be used as a step-by-step guide to familiarize you with the basic operation of your BERNINA or bernette sewing machine. Once you have completed the exercises designated for your machine, attach the sewn samples to the information pages (or add an extra mounting page as a facing page) and insert the pages into plastic page protectors to store in a 3-ring binder. They can then be used as a reference tool in the future as you use your machine and explore the creative possibilities it affords.

Class is Free if you bought your BERNINA at The Cotton Cupboard all others pay $15

Create the great quilt using Marti Michell's Tessellating Windmills Template. The Cat and Lattice are optional :)

If you have not used Marti's Templates before you are in for a treat, with her cutting methods and engineered templates, perfection is almost possible.

Class fee is $25 plus pattern and template. Mart & Me members Class Fee is $15

Class Policy

Class fees must be paid IN FULL at time of registration. You can register in person, by mail, or by phone.
A refund or store credit is only provided if you cancel 1 week prior to start of class. If the cancellation is less than one week, no refunds will be given.
If The Cotton Cupboard must cancel a class due to lack of participation, the class fees may be refunded or a store credit given
Class minimum is 3 students.
Space is reserved on a first come first serve basis.
Children or your guest CANNOT accompany you to class without paying the registration fee.
In order to keep class fees to a minimum, keep the lights on, and the roof over the store, we ask for your cooperation and offer a discount to purchase your class supplies at The Cotton Cupboard.
A 10% discount will be given when purchasing the required materials for class.
Supply lists will be given at time of registration. If one is not available at that time, you will be notified when it becomes available.
Students are required to bring a sewing machine and basic sewing supplies to each class.
Basic sewing supplies include: Scissors, thread, seam ripper, marking pencil, rotary cutter, ruler, etc..
A limited number of sewing machines are available for rent. They are reserved on a first come first serve basis.
Each student must have a LEGAL COPY of the pattern or book.
If help is needed in the selection of class materials, please do so prior to start of class.
Class will start on time so please arrive at least 15 minutes early and be set up and ready to start.
Out of respect for the instructor and other students; all class participants are asked to turn off cellular phones and pagers (or place on vibrate). If a call is necessary, please leave the room to complete the call.
PLEASE DO NOT WEAR PERFUME to class due to allergies of others.
